Getting Over It

Getting Over It

Getting Over It is an extremely challenging climbing game where you use a hammer to navigate treacherous terrain and face heart-stopping falls. Enjoy it now!

About Getting Over It!

Getting Over It isn't a relaxing game. It's more of a test of patience. You control a man trapped in a jar, with only a hammer to climb through all sorts of bizarre terrain: rocks, pipes, and piles of objects… Everything relies on physics, so there are no shortcuts, no "easy" paths.

The gameplay is unique. Sometimes you climb a section very smoothly, feeling like you're starting to understand the game. But just a slight misstep can send your character plummeting deep, undoing all your progress. These falls are what give it its unique "flavor"—frustrating, funny, and making you want to try again immediately.

How to play Getting Over It?

Use your mouse to control the hammer as it spins around your character. Utilize the propulsion and grip points to climb higher.

There are no jump or regular movement buttons. Every movement depends on how you rotate and position the hammer. Therefore, each pull and each push requires careful timing.

The higher you go, the more difficult the terrain becomes, requiring better control and minimizing mistakes.

Best Tips to win this game

  • Patience is key: This game is not for rushing. Going slowly and steadily will be more effective.
  • Understand the "feel" of the hammer: After playing for a while, you will start to get used to the force. Once you are familiar with it, movement will be much smoother.
  • Stay calm when encountering problems: Many times, you might think you're going to fall, but if you don't panic, you can still recover.
  • Accept failure as part of the game: Falling isn't the end of the world, but an opportunity to try again better.
  • Focus on each small step: Don't think about the final destination. Overcoming one obstacle at a time will reduce the pressure.

Getting Over It doesn't pamper players, but it leaves a lasting impression. The feeling of finally climbing a difficult section after numerous failures is truly satisfying — enough to make you want to keep playing, even knowing you might fall again.
